Three Little Birds

Did you know that Mitch & I got married in Jamaica? One of the things that I've held on to the most after almost 10 years is the Bob Marley song, Three Little Birds.

Rise up this mornin',
Smiled with the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin', "This is my message to you-ou-ou:"

Singin': "Don't worry about a thing, worry about a thing, oh!
Every little thing gonna be all right. Don't worry!"
Singin': "Don't worry about a thing" - I won't worry!
"'Cause every little thing gonna be all right."

I am beyond thrilled to share with you today that very soon I will finally have my own three little birds.

Baby Boy #3

This morning we confirmed that my third little bird is definitely a BOY!!! Six weeks ago when the doctor asked me if I wanted to know his guess I of course said yes. When he told me that it looked like another boy I felt joy radiating from every pore in my body. I love my boys so much and cannot imagine being anything other than a Mama of boys.

As I watched his little feet kicking like crazy and his hands blocking his face I said "He's going to fit right in!"

I have always wanted a house full of children's laughter and at 18wks4days am so blessed that my dream is coming true. I cannot wait for April 19, 2012 (give or take a week) to come and hold this little miracle in my arms.

Have a beautiful day!!

Monica

Oh wow!! I've been reading your blog since you were announced as a member of Becky Higgins' creative team for Project Life, and then today I saw your post on Stephanie Howell's blog and had to come send you my congratulations!! :D I will enjoy seeing your record of life with a "newbie" ;) via Project Life. My daughter (our first, and after 13 years of marriage and several years of trying, likely our only) child was born in Feb. 2010, and I tried to do a Project 365 album for that year. It just didn't work out, because I didn't give myself flexibility/freedom to record "some but not all" and so I have an album with empty journaling cards, 5 months of printed photos (minus the week of Sara's birth, because I couldn't figure out which ones to print for each day), and no memorabilia -- and a box of random notes and memorabilia, some notes on my computer, and posts on my regular message board that chronicle many of her first days (but not all!!). I hope I will be able to draw inspiration from you as I try to do Project Life the way you have been doing it (weekly, bits of life included, not worrying if a day is "missed") this coming year, and perhaps even try to put together that 2010 album. Anyhow -- sorry for rambling on so long! Once again, congratulations on your new "little bird". :D

Monica,
Congratulations on your baby boy and joining the Project Life design team! I just discovered your blog because I am thinking of doing Project Life, and I love that you are a real life working mom who is able to make it work. You inspire me! I am also a busy working mom (I'm an attorney) and I have 2 boys - and I wonder if Project Life would work for me. Up until I read your blog, I thought everyone on the design team either stayed home with her kids or scrapbooked for a living. But you are living proof that working moms can do this too. So while I definitely didn't need a reason to buy another thing related to scrapbooking - I will be picking up Project Life in December (I want the Cobalt collection).
