Just For Fun

I made it into work today and while I was eating lunch at my desk I found my way to Tickle by visiting lemons2lemonade, a fellow BPS classmate's blog.

I had time for four fun quizes and I was pretty tickled by the results. Sorry - I know that was bad but I just couldn't help myself. It must be my class Have More Fun rubbing off on me :)

Quiz: What's Your True Color?

Answer:Black

Explanation:Your color is black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none. This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.

My take: No way am I serene, mysterious or elegant nor do I intimidate anyone! However, I do have issues with perfection and I recognize that at times, when I'm not self-regulating, this demand can put out others. I'ld like to think I have a good strength of character but then again, who wouldn't. I do tend to set challenging goals and when fixated on something; watch out!

Quiz: The Brain Test

Answer: Left Brained

The Explanation: Most left-brained people like you feel at ease in situations requiring verbal ability, attention to detail, and linear, analytical ability. Whether you know it or not, you are a much stronger written communicator than many, able to get your ideas across better than others. It's also likely that you are methodical and efficient at many things that you do. You could also be good at math, particularly algebra, which is based on very strict rules that make sense to your logical mind.

My Take: Except for the good at math, I'm a CPA and still calculator dependent, this pegged me. Even in my creative outlets I still gravitate towards the linear & attention to detail. I had a little aha moment when I saw strong written communicator because I have refocused on journaling in my layouts and am loving every minute.

The Quiz: Who Were You In a Past Life?

Answer: Artist

The Explanation: Oil painting, sculpture, photography. No matter the medium, it's clear that an imaginative soul like yours must have been an artist in a former life. With your creativity and originality, you've got a unique approach to the world that just begs to be shared with everyone. Like the great masters who came before you, you march to the beat of your own drummer and don't follow the herd. You live life by your own rules and aren't afraid to express your ideas. Lucky for all of us, they're great ones. So, keep expressing yourself. You're sure to be legendary!

My Take: I was glad to see that one of these quizes said I'm creative! I was about to feel like a poser.... However, not all my ideas are great, flashback to wave journaling. And the only place I want to be legendary is in my children's minds.

The Quiz: The Classic IQ Test

Answer: Word Warrior, IQ 122

The Explanation: You are equipped with a verbal arsenal that enables you to understand complex issues and communicate on a particularly high level. These talents make you a Word Warrior. Whether or not you recognize it, your vocabulary is your strongest suit—use it whenever you can. Since your command of words is so great, you are also a terrific communicator — able to articulate big ideas to just about anyone. Your wordsmithing prowess will also help in artistic and creative pursuits. The power of words translates to fresh ideas off paper too. Since you have so many words at your disposal, you are in a unique position to describe things in an original way, as well as see the future in your mind's eye. In short, your strengths allow you to be a visionary — able to extrapolate and come up with a multitude of fresh ideas. And you are in good company — bask in the brilliance of Word Warriors who have walked before you. William Shakespeare let loose the power of his pen. His ability to articulate the most subtle nuances of human nature and to create colorful characters are why his stories still have a major impact — even 400 years after he first wrote them. Whether you put pen to paper or use your understanding of the words around you to come up with creative approaches to problems, your potential as a Word Warrior is terrific.

My Take: All though K-12 testing I've been better at the Verbal than Math. No surprise there but what was fun to see was that this skill set is what enables me to dream or as they said see the future in my mind's eye. My FAVORITE quote is by Eleanor Roosevelt "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
