So excited to be participating in the Layout a Day Challenge, affectionately known as LOAD. Here is my first layout of the month. I would say you can expect poorly lit layouts the next 30 days since I'm sure I'll be finishing them by the hair of my chiny, chin, chin. That is part of the crazy fun though!
Today marks a year from when I took Stacy Julian's Challenge to document my present. She brought us full circle today with having us reflect on the last year & the images we had captured.
My journaling reads:
We still battle animal hair which means we are blessed with their love. Jensen is still Garrett’s best friend which means he is building relationships. We still celebrate the little things like stops at Sonic, yummy food, family time & imaginative play which mean we are immersed in our life. Yet, the shifts, while subtle are there. The Volvo is paid off which means 1 step closer to financial freedom. Garrett now eats grilled cheese sandwiches which mean we are making progress with his eating. I am now exercising which means I am learning to put myself first. Garrett no longer lets me call him baby which means an era has ended. The last 365 days have enriched our already blessed life. MOM’s REFLECTIONS 10/01/2009
I think I'm going to put this on my list to do on my birthday in November. I want to capture the years where there are only subtle changes & the years where there are monumental ones.
I have a post that has been in draft for days that I hope to finish tomorrow but I just can't make any promises. I've been living with a bad cold all week that has zapped all my extra energy that usually lets me keep all my balls in the air, barely :)
Oh! Before I forget, go check out Stacy's new online home. It seriously puts a smile on my face.

Love it. May have to lift it.
Beautiful layout Monica! I love how you documented the subtle changes. I may have to lift this one, too! Sooooo love your work!
Hey, I was a commenting FOOL in the LOAD gallery yesterday, and I left you some genuine love on your page before I even realized it was yours. Great job on the reflections... and an even better idea to do this on your birthday every year. (Btw, I have a November birthday too... what date is yours?!)
I love the stitching between the photos. I wish I'd done this project last year. I never got around to it. Maybe I'll do one on my own this year. I like the birthday idea.
