Happy Mother's Day

I am hoping that everyone had a wonderful day being celebrated as a mother, celebrating their mother or a little of both.

I've had a wonderful weekend with plenty of time to immerse in relaxed reorganization of the playroom & scrap cave. The mess & clutter was beginning to be a bit much for even me. With a bit of order restored in my home I was able to do some crafting today.

However, the best part of my day was when my little one who never naps anymore decided to fall asleep on my chest. I was in heaven. For a beautiful few hours I was transported back to his newborn days when he would regularly fall asleep to the rise & fall of my chest.

At the end of last week my Studio Calico Kit hit my doorstep just in time for the scrapbooking portion of the Library of Memories class I am coaching at Big Picture Scrapbooking.

One of the things I love about my system is that I have the ability to age my pictures. Because I am not concerned with being caught up I am able to draw connections through time.

This week we are focusing on our All About Us Albums. One of our layout assignments was to define family for us. When I ran across these pictures of Mitch & Garrett at the driving range years apart it hit me that not everyone makes a family trip to the driving range with camera in tow. One of the things that we do to make the three of us a family is share what we love with one another. So, I didn't focus on what exactly we were doing but instead I focused on the sentiment.

This next layout was completely product driven. When I saw the piano keys trim I knew it was time to scrap our Graceland pictures. This is a lift of April Foster's layout We Bought The Farm as seen in Creating Keepsakes June Issue page 104.

All products in both layouts are from the May Studio Calico Kit Playground.

Last week I did a terrible job with keeping up with the LayOut A Day Challenge. I hope to do a better job this week now that I can actually see the floor in the scrap cave!

Happy Mother's Day Monica!
The part of Garrett falling alseep on you makes my heart ache. My dd's are 8 & 6 and I loved those sleeping baby days. I watched my niece a few weeks ago for a long afternoon and a barely put her down, whether she was sleeping or awake.
