Working The System: People We Love

As promised here is a peek at what would go into my People We Love Library of Memories Album.

This layout showcases my son's relationship with my Mother.

Happy Birthday Mom!

The pictures come from a night my parents babysat while my husband & I went to a Christmas party. When Grandma is around they usually have great laughs. Love the action in this last shot.

I could have focused on Garrett loving to sit on people's backs and put it into All About Us or I could have focused on the fact that Garrett stays with Grandma & Grandpa when we need a sitter and fit it into Things We Do. My point is the system is extremely flexible and assists you in seeing multiple stories.

Journaling: So one of the perks of moving back to Texas was that you were able to hang out with Grandma. Which of course leads to many opportunities for shenanigans and laughs.

Again, I'm going to brag on my storage albums. Last night I didn't plan on scrapping but after a friend asked me if I was, thanks Ruth, I did feel like scrapping. So, I started to flip through my storage binders and these shots made me laugh. I was inpsired.

I liken picking pictures from my storage binders to getting dressed in the morning. I'm one of those people who cannot lay out my clothes the evening before. I need to stand in my closet and check out all my options.

There was a period I was going to the gym and getting dressed there for work. But I usually would get grumpy if I didn't mesh with what I was wearing. What seemed like a good idea the night before did not feel like me that next morning. I like being guided by my mood when I dress. Same goes for my scrapping. If I am not drawn to my pictures the layout will likely take me all day because I am not inspired.

However, when I'm able to flip through my pictures and pull what I'm drawn to the process goes very fast. Last night I pulled the pictures, picked my background , cropped the pictures and went to bed. This morning, after yoga and before work I was able to pull the layout together. LOVE living with my system.

Don't you want that freedom? If so, I highly recommend the class over at Big Picture Scrapbooking.

Hi, Monica! I don't know if you remember me from the BPS boards, but I remember you! This is a great LO, by the way! I just wanted to stop in and tell you how excited I was when I saw your photo in Simple Scrapbooks!!! It was awesome! Congratulations, you must be very happy. I have sent a few pages in myself, no calls yet, but I'm having fun. I'm wondering if you are planning on signing up for LOM as an alumni? I'm thinking about it. If you want to check it out or send me a message, my blog is at http://wildonions.blogspot.com
Again, it was so fun to see a familiar name!
