The backs get put together and you sew a straight line along the edge.
The tricky part here is that your flaps need to be open when you sew them flat.

I'm off to piece the rest together. The next step will be sewing around the border and then the cutting begins.

WOW! This is going to be beautiful! I only wish I could do something like this . . . but alas, I don't know how to sew! Think you could give me a few pointers? ;)
