Look two posts in one day!! I'm really cheating because I'm just sharing things! Today started a new week in my Have More Fun class and Tia Bennett is our guest teacher this week. Her audio message was actually a video of a little diddy she wrote. I just loved this and wanted to share.
Story of Your Life
(tune: GreenDay 'Good Riddance/Time of Your Life')
Another birthday party, graduation day,
A stolen moment with a child one Saturday;
So many memories of things that pass on by.
How can we ever think to capture time that flies?
[refrain]
It's something in your hands that says
You tried to do things right;
These pages are the story of your life.
So take the photographs and cool things your kids say
And write them down upon a page or two each day
And in the end when your albums overflow
And you're left wond'ring where the precious time did go;
[refrain]
It's something in your hands that says
You tried to do things right;
These pages are the story of your life.
Your hopes, your dreams, your fears,
Your trials and your doubt:
This is the inspiration we can't live without!
It's something in our hands that says
We tried to do things right.
These pages are the stories of our lives.

Hello! I've been checking out your website after being involved with LOM this year. I LOVE these lyrics.....not sure - are they yours to the Green Day song or is it an actual song by someone else?
I feel a LO coming on......
Kendra - I'm not sure if the email went through but Tia Bennett is the author of the lyrics and she sang it for us in the Have More Fun class. The link to her blog is in the original post. Thanks so much for stopping by :)
