A week home and no crafting; that is how sick I was. Feels good to be back on the horse. This took about an hour and a half and I used supplies I had in my stash. There was some ribbon, a few embellishments, colored cardstock from Stampin Up and my last Creative Memories Photo Sharing Card that I will not be sharing.
Here is the front of the card. The tag with yellow ribbons has journaling that reads "You & the Tolbert's, across the street, have a special connection. Mrs. Tolbert bought you your first suncatcher. You had a blast filling it in & baking it in the oven. The instructions said we should use tweezers. I think we did just fine without. A few days later I found you covering it with Super Hero Stickers."
I used chipboard letters to spell SUN and used an American Crafts Slick Writer to write CATCHERS on the picture. Very impressed with the Slick Writer; absolutely no smearing. The ribbon is from Michael's. I think its their Dots and Dashes which goes on sale frequently and I stock up.
Here is what it looks like when you lift the front up.
So this is the back of the front. The star is from Me&My Big Ideas Soft Spoken Embellishments so fun for boys and the happy is also Me&My Big Ideas but self adhesive Jelly Stickers.
Here is the opening picture which is just mounted on cardstock. This is actually the back of the last inside picture.
When you open it all the way there are four inside pictures. Again, just mounted on colored cardstock and the ribbon is the same from the front.
Like I said, so much fun, very easy and very cost effective. The only kicker is that CM stopped making these photo sharing cards but you might find a consultant that has a stash. For me, I just used my last one.
More craftiness coming soon and I finally am pulling my room together so there will be pics soon. Some friends stopped over last night and the husband told Mitch "That's some office..." I will admit, it's a little embarassing I have enough stuff to fill a whole room!
