This morning I've spent some time soaking in all the crafty goodness that is going to be surrounding Ella Publishing in the coming months. My word I am really excited about the eBooks that will be coming!! I know that it's terrible to tease but I've been sworn to secrecy.
There are a few things I don't want you to miss out on:
First, are you interested in winning some CHA-W 2010 goodies? Yeah, I thought so!! The best part? It's so easy!! All you have to do is leave a comment on my blog and then link to it on the Ella Blog, here. The contest ends at midnight MST February 5th and is limited to US & Canada residents.
Second, would you like to be a cover girl? The March Scrapbook Ellaments Cover Contest is going on right now & the theme is YOU!! The deadline is midnight EST February 7th. Find all the details here.
Third, did you know that there is a series on the Ella Blog of Six Weeks of Sketches? Each Friday, for Six Weeks, a new sketch is posted on Friday. There are weekly prizes & the grand prize is a Cricut Expression!! I think everyone wins though because Donna Jannuzzi's sketches are great.
Have you looked at her new book, Stretch Your Sketches?
I loved the way this book provides a sketch, shows you a copy it exactly option and then gives you two more ways to use the same sketch!! If you peek at page 6 you just might see a layout from me!
To learn more about Donna, read here. Or to get a sample of Donna's sketches make sure you revisit Week #1, Week#2 & Week#3 of Six Weeks of Sketches. Don't forget today a new sketch will post. I plan on playing this week!
Here is a fun fact about the author that you won't find anywhere else. While working on the book Donna & I discovered that the very small south Texas town I was born in is where Donna grew up!! Such, a small world.
Well, now that it's an appropriate time to wake up, I'm getting sleepy!! I'm going to see if I can catch an hour of sleep before my work day begins. Have a great Friday!

I'm so sorry you're not getting any sleep, Monica. But, I have to say I'm envious of how chipper and creative you can be in the middle of the night. Keep well :)
I bought Stretch Your Sketches and I love it! Looking forward to seeing more books from Ella.
I hope you sleep better soon!
Wishing you easy sleep and thanks for the fun chance to win.
I am very familiar with the sleepless nights, but I hope you will be able to get some rest soon! I love your enthusiam for Ella, it is so evident in your writing, and it gets me excited as well. Thanks for the chance to wins some CHA goodies!
p.s.
I love your new hairstyle. I have done Locks for Love twice, and I think it is a wonderful thing to donate your hair to help others!
Not sleeping sucks. I love my sleep. Just think of it as being in trainng for those 2 am feedings.
How fun that you and Donna have a connection! This is a fun post. Can't wait to see your layout for Sketches Week #4!
I feel your pain. I have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I take a sleeping pill every night and sometimes that doesn't even work. Here's to both of us getting some sleep.
Love the layouts:)
Monica, I am taking LOM and reading the trainers blogs. While reading your blog, I was excited to see the Louisville Zoo project. Then I realized you no longer live here. If you know of any other LOMers in Louisville, please let me know. It would be fun to meet at Starbucks for a in real life visit.
Hooray, I am a school principal and today is a snow day in Louisville. I am off to spend a delicious day in my craft room!
Mrs. Thomas! I am a new LOM'er and live in Shelby County just outside of Louisville. Look for me at BPS as memeg.
Look forward to talking with you!
Hi Monica! I saw this blog post the other day coincidentally enough one night when I couldn't sleep either! :) Thank you for the kind words on the book.
I saw the post you wrote recently on being "caught up." You put into words so beautifully a lot of the same feelings I have about scrapbooking. I know quite a few people who treat scrapbooking almost like a chore - it is sad, it does break your heart a little because you know that they could find joy in scrapbooking and instead they find guilt.
I just wanted to finish by saying that I love your blog. I really should come visit more often. :)
