My Creative Friends

There is a group of women that I've come to call my friends over the last few months. We talk about everything under the sun with craftiness thrown in for good measure.

One of the things we do is participate in challenges. This month we scrapped an inanimate object that has meaning to us. To add a twist we used our main photo for the layout and this color generator to choose the colors you will use on your layout .

Here was mine.

Not a whole bunch of color in there so I added some red.

Journaling: It had been a hard day; hosting a baby shower when loss was still so close to my heart. It was a blessing to have my mother there by my side helping me with all the logistics. I played my usual part gracious, strong, putting others before myself. Afterwards she left to run an errande with a promise to be back. She brought with her this beautiful angel & words telling me I was loved. Walls protecting my heart came down & I felt love. This angel reminds me that I don't always have to play my usual part & sometimes I need to be vulnerable to feel others love.

I used American Crafts for the background cardstock & everything else was from my Studio Calico Playground Kit.

Have a great Saturday!
