This is so me...

Although I had four days at home due to weather (fun pictures coming soon) I still greeted this Monday morning in a frazzled state. Somehow I managed to not accomplish anything due or needed for today. However, I made great progress on our playroom de-cluttering & re-organization project. Sadly, that wasn't priority for today. Ahhh, this is so me.

Once I'm happy with the playroom I hope to post pictures. We've devised a game plan to attack every month a room that needs tending to leading up to little bean's arrival. This is both for our budget & sanity. This month is the playroom and I'm really happy so far. I digress.

I woke up at 4AM ready to attack the list I knew I had in front of me for the day. Then it hit me, we forgot to make the crayon hearts for Garrett's Valentine Bags for today. Ahhh, this is so me.

I knew he would be crushed if they didn't get added to the bags we already had so I got to chopping & melting. Two hours later they were ready to go & I was full of positive energy. Making crayon hearts, while a bit frazzling at 4AM, was a great way to creatively start my day.

I really did love the way his bags turned out. The boxes are full of kisses for his teachers.

Each bag has a couple of bags of Sweetarts, a drawing from Garrett & a crayon heart. I always have to chuckle at Mitch's commentary on my crafty projects. He is hoping that the children do not think the hearts are chocolate. Yeah, I suppose the hearts came out darker than I had anticipated.

We are both chuckling that the parents may mistake Garrett's drawing of the dog house directly behind the dog for something less appropriate. I so adore how the dog is smiling and that he labeled it.

This afternoon we have Garrett's first ever soccer practice. I think I may be as nervous as he is!! We are strangers to the group playing on the team & in these situations I become very shy. Ahhh, this is so me.

I'm glad that Mitch is going to be joining me to watch practice. Life is always better with your best friend by your side.

Have a beautiful Monday!

Hee hee, I have to laugh about the dog house too. But it's still super cute. :)

Cute crayon hearts. I have wanted to make these for a while. I love that you made them for his Valentine bags.
